Anti Slip Floor Treatments
Rodal Anti Slip Solutions provide market leading Anti Slip floor treatments and coatings for non slip tiles and all your hard floor surfaces. The Non slip treatment will not alter the colour, appearance or the gloss level of the tile or stone but our floor treatment will provides significantly increased grip under wet conditions.
This non slip treatment increases the co-efficient of friction of floor surfaces both internal and external to meet and exceed HSE minimum requirements of the surface when wet.
Our floor treatments are a long lasting solution to the problem of dangerous slippery when wet hard floors. Lasts for years - these are not an anti slip treatment that will wear off or require repeated re-applications.
Application: Ceramics, Terrazzo, Travatine, Glazed Tiles, Marble, Concrete, Slate, Porcelain and more.
How does it work:
All stone and mineral based floor surfaces contain small amounts of Silica.
These treatments cause a chemical reaction with the surface to dissolve a controlled amount of the silica so as to create thousands of minute, shallow indentations in the surface creating a semi permanent invisible tread. This profile is so subtle that it cannot be felt or seen because the profile sits below the level of the surface. However, when the surface is wet these shallow indentations fill with water, the water is then squeezed out from the pressure of the foot on the surface, creating a non slip surface by turning these indentation into thousands of suction cups that act like a vacuum on the sole of the shoe creating a grip that will stop you from slipping.
This simple non slip floor treatment significantly increases the coefficient of friction and dramatically reduces the problem of dangerous slippery surfaces when wet. Application time is usually for only 10-20 minutes depending on surface material of the floor or tile and then is simply rinsed away with cold water. Surface is ready to use immediately with minimal disruption and will act effectively as an anti slip treatment for up to 5 years with just one application.
